George Carlin said, “Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?” But what about the people driving the vehicles that make you look twice as they go by?
Maybe it’s one those tiny new “SmartCars” that look like they would fit into the back of a pickup. Maybe it’s one of those new convention-defying reverse three-wheeled motorcycles (two wheels up front, one in back). Or maybe it’s some monster truck jacked up on 5-foot high wheels with a gargantuan suspension system – and a built-in ladder to get up into it.
Whoever the drivers are, they have made an unconventional choice. They’re probably interesting people, the kind who it would be fun to chat with for a while over a cup of coffee to see what they have to say about the world today and tomorrow. They’re forward-thinkers, risk-takers, and trend-setters. In the technology world they’re called “early adopters.” In marketing lingo they’re “influencers.”
We at Linear Air get to meet such on our Eclipse “Very Light Jets.” That’s why we are glad to be known by the company we keep – that is, by those who choose to fly with us. Out of respect for their privacy I can’t name most them. But if I could, you’d be impressed.
Still, I can tell you a little bit about some of our recent and frequent customers.
Just within the last few weeks and months we’ve carried a Nobel Laureate in economics, one of the world’s most celebrated and influential business professors, senior deal makers for top investment banks and private equity companies, and professors from Harvard and M.I.T. traveling to speaking engagements or to consult with private clients. We’ve also carried a number of celebrities whose busy schedules typically cause them to search for the fastest way to get anywhere. That includes talk show host Regis Philbin, NBC News anchor Brian Williams, FOX Business News host and senior vice president Neil Cavuto, and syndicated TV newswoman Deborah Norville, all of whom have mentioned their experiences with Linear Air on air or in public.
Why do these people, who easily can afford to fly first class on any airline, sometimes choose Linear Air instead? Passengers tell us they choose Linear Air because we can get them where they want to go faster than anyone else, with the least amount of wasted time, and with the least amount of hassle. And we can do that at prices competitive with what they would pay for a commercial flight.
That’s because we can operate our cutting-edge Eclipse Jets for much less than what it takes to operate conventional business jets. And it’s because we typically operate our on-demand air taxi flights from less congested airports where there’s little or no commercial air service, where there are no long lines and insulting security screenings, and which typically are much closer to travelers’ ultimate destinations than the big commercial airports. All of that allows us to shave 30% to 40% off door-to-door travel times. That’s how we’re bringing the convenience and efficiency of regional business jet flying within the reach of many more businesses and individuals than ever before.
If you do a bit of your own forward-thinking, I believe you will agree Linear Air’s air taxi service can make your life easier and better.
See you aboard!
