CONCORD, MA, April 24, 2009 – Leading Eclipse 500 air-taxi operator Linear Air announced today that it has received Federal Aviation Administration approval to provide Eclipse 500 pilots with required recurrent training. All Eclipse 500 pilots must receive this training at either six or twelve month intervals, depending on pilot experience.
The FAA authorized Linear Air’s program under Part 61 of the Federal Aviation Regulations and FAA Advisory Circular AC 61-137, which specifically addresses the unique training requirements of the Eclipse 500 jet.
Linear Air’s Eclipse 500 recurrent training program includes computer-based systems training, classroom training and flight training. The program is based on Linear Air’s successful training program for its professional Eclipse 500 pilots.
Linear Air’s Eclipse 500 recurrent training program will be offered through Eclipse Services and Support LLC, an affiliate created by Linear Air to offer private owners of Eclipse 500 jets the substantial maintenance and pilot training expertise the company has developed operating the Eclipse 500 in commercial service.
