Concord, Mass., Dec 20, 2011 – Linear Air, the premier jet-taxi service offering business jet service for less than first class, today announced approval by the Federal Aviation Administration to utilize advanced charting and operations technology afforded by the integration of Apple iPads into the company’s flight operations.
Linear Air is the first commercial air carrier in the FAA’s Eastern Region to receive such approval.

In fact, Linear Air is the authorized training provider to the FAA for flight training in the Eclipse 500,” said Stephen K. Brown, Inspector with the FAA’s Boston Flight Standards District Office.
“iPads in the cockpit enable Linear Air to eliminate 50 pounds of paper, allow seamless updating and more efficient handling of operating and customer service issue,” added William Herp, Linear Air’s President and CEO. “The safety and comfort of our customers is our number one concern, and integrating iPads into our operation gives us a real leg up – and saves a few trees in the process.”
