Las Vegas
Las Vegas at a Glance
There aren't many cities in the world quite like Las Vegas. The ultimate vacation destination, Sin City has it all. Casinos, resorts, otherworldly shows, celebrity chefs like Wolfgang Puck, and now NFL and NHL franchises as well. Las Vegas is internationally recognized as one of the best cities to travel to for fun and excitement. And with a chartered flight, a Vegas vacation has never been easier.
Most visitors to Las Vegas are traveling for vacation or entertainment. On top of that, Vegas is also a popular location for conferences and conventions, which accounts for a significant portion of the city's tourism as well.
Las Vegas, the unofficial entertainment capital of the world, is a hotspot for both international and domestic tourism. Before the pandemic, Vegas saw over 40 million visitors annually. Las Vegas tourism has been trending back up towards that number over the last couple of years. Most years, Las Vegas ranks second behind only New York City among all U.S. travel destinations.
Travel to Las Vegas does not fluctuate much throughout the year. The weather in Nevada and the abundance of attractions in the city make it a great place to travel all year round.
Las Vegas's Location
Las Vegas is located in the far south of Nevada, about 270 miles northeast of Los Angeles, and a 4-hour drive away from the Grand Canyon in Arizona. The Las Vegas metro area is home to over 2 million residents, with 644,000 located in the city itself. Las Vegas is by far the largest population center in Nevada, with roughly 75% of the state's population living in the area. And that doesn't include the millions of visitors that come to the city annually.
The primary airport that gets used for air travel into Las Vegas is McCarran International Airport. However, when visiting Las Vegas via chartered flights, travelers have additional options. Henderson Executive Airport, North Las Vegas Airport, and Jean Airport are also available for private flights.
Popular Las Vegas Attractions
There is not enough time in the world to list all the attractions that Las Vegas has to offer. For starters, even the hotels in Las Vegas are destinations. Wynn Las Vegas Resort offers its guests the best luxury the city has to offer. And that's just one of many Las Vegas resorts and casinos that draw in travelers from around the globe. Of course, the excitement does not end there. Exotic shows like Cirque du Soleil, the world-famous Caesar's Palace, and Fremont Street in downtown Vegas are some of the highly popular destinations in the city.
Beyond the city itself, visitors can still enjoy some spectacular sights. A short drive outside the city can take you to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, home to some of the best desert scenery in the southwest. To the east, travelers can take a short drive to see the historic Hoover Dam. With a charter flight to Las Vegas, you can see why Sin City has more to offer than casinos and shows.
