Charlotte, North Carolina, the Queen City, is known for its banking and finance industries, and is home to some of the most renowned museums in America, as well as picturesque natural landscapes and famed sports teams. Charlotte is among the top 20 most populous cities in the United States, with over 872,000 residents and hundreds of thousands of tourists visiting each year. Located in the Piedmont region, Charlotte is the most populous city in the state of North Carolina and has a total area of 308.6 square miles. This city lies at an elevation of 751 feet and constitutes most of Mecklenburg County in the Carolina Piedmont, and consistently boasts a mild climate.
Aside from the headquarters of Bank of America residing in Charlotte, NC, and staking its name within the Carolina Panthers’ stadium, there is much more to Charlotte than business and commerce. It is also home to a massive Nascar fan base and offers many tracks to be visited.  The most popular attractions of Charlotte, NC, include King Street and the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. King Street is home to one of the most famous farmer’s markets in America. Raleigh, North Carolina is a fascinating and vibrant blend of modern culture and historical preservation, where eclectic and traditional meet and dazzle. The state capital also forms one of the peak points of North Carolina’s illustrious “Research Triangle”, sharing the bill with nearby Durham and Chapel Hill.

With a 25% population boom in the last 10 years, Raleigh is the 2nd fastest-growing metro in the country due in part to its progressive job growth and bursting cultural experiences. 
Raleigh promises warm summers that rarely peak in the 90s and mild winters that even more rarely drop below freezing. The city itself occupies 114.0 square miles and is cut by the Neuse River through the northeast end of the city. 
Raleigh also boasts a second nickname: “The City of Oaks”. Because of its mild climate, several species of oak flourish in and around the city, as well as up and down the Neuse River.
Some of the more popular hot spots can be found in downtown Raleigh. The one and only CAM, better known as “The Contemporary Art Museum”, hosts new and exciting exhibits constantly. The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences boasts a three-story-tall replica globe amidst an array of native flora. Learn everything about the state at the North Carolina Museum of History. 
After dark, you will start hearing the music pour from the jazzy C. Grace or the rocking Neptunes, unless you would prefer to check out more acts and performances from the Red Hat Amphitheater. Visit the Belgian-style brewery Bhavana or the James Beard-rated Poole’s Diner.  Hike the Neuse River Greenway Trail, or the 1,100 mile Mountains-to-Sea Trail, which stretches the length of the state.
